New York based pediatrician Dr. Greg Gulbransen may insist that he is a hobbyist who only shoots in his spare time, but the sheer volume if not the captivating beauty of his images would suggest otherwise. He has shot for Elle, Marie Claire, and Harpers Bazaar, been featured on the A&E Network and The History Channel, and in 2016 won First Place in the Weather Channel Photography Contest. He escapes his affluent upbringing and community to capture scenes and faces on the periphery of society, and is much more interested the relationship he forms with his subjects than he is with the final results. “I show lots of respect and always laugh hard with all of these folks” he says, “Life is good behind the glass.”
